The Point Park
University Alumni Association is creating a database of alumni interested in
mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. This is a new
system, serving as a resource for speaking engagements on campus, networking
opportunities with students, and building a pipeline for employment/internship
opportunities for students. This database will be shared with university Deans, their
departments and professors.
If you would like to
participate as a mentor, please complete the form below. The amount of time
required may vary each semester and per student. As the need arises, we will
reach out to see if you’re available. You can read more
about one opportunity below, The Professional and Classroom Etiquette Seminar,
led by alumna Melissa Botta-Havran.
Mentors for
the Professional and Classroom Etiquette Seminar will:
- Help mentees set goals
and action plans
- Encourage students to
develop their skills and networks
- Act as role models,
demonstrating professional and social responsibility
- Motivate Mentees to
identify their own issues and goals
- Share their own
success and ability to overcome obstacles and goals
- Provide constructive
feedback and advise
- Attend the end of
Seminar Etiquette Gala (optional, held around April/May)
